LAW COMEDY(GENERAL OFFER AND SPECIFIC OFFER)

As we are in 2nd semester of MBA we are also studying law which many of the students find boring. In MBA many students also come from non-commerce backgrounds so these students find law very boring. Even some of the commerce students also find it very boring.
This is a humorous incidence about general and specific offer. It was a beautiful evening of 16th December, Friday when we were enjoying our weekend. I came from outside the campus and near my hostel I was with my friends for a while. As these days were winter days so I used to wear my thick jacket which I also called as Maharana Pratap ka Kawach(just in kidding tone). My jacket became the center of attraction for my friends. They started telling(in humorous tone) “is mote se jacket me pakka kuch hai. Pakka isme charas, ganja, afeem hoga ”. Though all of them know that I am a very modest person and I even can’t think of it, but it was a moment for them to create a humour. I kept few cases in my jacket which we were supposed to write on Monday or Tuesday as per the schedule. All my friends suddenly saw cases and then told me to give them the extra cases. I gave them extra cases which I had with me. Suddenly one friend told “ab dekhte jaao jacket me se bahut kuch niklega”.   Other friend asked me “aur kya kya rakha hai tune jacket me”. I was having a water bottle in my jacket. I also came in mood of masti. I told them that “ mere paas bottle hai (without specifying anything)”. They all expected that I must be having bottle of either beer, whisky, vodka or something. They were looking at my jacket with exclaimatory eyes. Then I opened my chain of jacket and then I took out Water Bottle from my jacket. Everyone got irritated at first and then all of them had a hearty laugh. One of my friend said “abbe bottle to aise keh raha hai jaise daaru ki bottle ho”. I immedietly told them “ it was a general offer and not specific offer because I told that I have bottle but I didn’t tell that which bottle did I have?”. This was the comedy with the concepts of law which we studied in our MBA classes which I thought of sharing with my viewers.

BENEFITS OF IMPLEMENTING METROS EXPERIENCE IN VILLAGES

Normally we have a perception that Whats there in village? We think that everyone of us should go outside the nation to earn big enough and then come to our home country and then take a house near a sea shore and live comfortably. Is that the only thing we should do being in our own nation? There are several benefits of implementing knowledge of cities in villages because with the help of this we can develop our nation as well as standard of living of villagers.
It’s an interesting story about a person who even after doing his masters from IIM KOLKATA has chosen to develop the villages.
Akshay Mehra is now a CEO of Village Laundry Services(VLS). Now we will draw a perception that after doing his masters from such a reputed college why he choose to be a CEO of village? That’s where a difference lies between the common persons and the persons who are different from the crowd. He is immensely delighted after becoming CEO of VLS. VLS is such laundry series which enables the customers to avail services at low rate. In its name village is signified because its main concentration is towards lower income group of the society. VLS started to provide its services to those towns/villages which come under a particular district in Bengaluru in Feburary 2009. Today it has it has 25 outlets across many towns/villages. Its main business is to provide services at normal places. These persons use refined quality of detergent, eco friendly front loading washing and drying machines and work to their utmost potential. Chamak Outlets(the way their branding has been done) gives you your cloths within 24 hours after washing, drying, ironing  and that too in 50 rupees per kg( in general if we see  concentration is totally on students, youth, middle class families and low income families.
This IIM KOLKATA graduate personality in his days of PROCTOR AND GAMBLE he took the experience of whole INDIA being Brand Manager Ariel and Tide detergents. In those days only an idea of business emerged in his mind that with the ultimate services differences between normal washerman and too much expensive branded laundry and dry cleaning shops can be removed. Then he thought of washerman market in India. In villages only its business has reached to 3000 crore.
In 2006 Sudesh Menon was supposed to take the charge of South East Asia as Best head, but he was already with Malaysian company. But he dint think it feasible to leave the earlier company because Anji Reddy, Chairman of well known pharmaceutical company DR REDDY LABORATORIES was very much excited that Mr Sudesh Menon should come to India and work to overcome the problem of Water Scarcity in the villages of the nation. Mr Menon joined Water Health International India as CEO. Then in Jan 2009 he started his own organization Water Life India and today it has more than 300 water purification units in 3 states. This can be a big business in this fast growing world. In our country we have 6 lakhs villages and more than 120000 government license aided hospitals and approximately 1lakhs schools and more than 65000 restaurants. In all these places they need water purification units and therefor we can draw a conclusion that its business can be approximately 18400 crore rupees.

MANAGING THE WARDEN AND SAFEGUARDING FRIEND

This is the incidence of some MBA college as told by my friend to me which I thought worth to tell to my viewers. This is also an example of managing the people and how to tackle a person to safeguard some other person.
There were two students Parvat and Zafar (names are changed in order to maintain confidentiality). Both were good friends. Both were playing table tennis in the weekend as they were very much fond of playing table tennis. Somehow Zafar missed a very easy shot which he thought he could have easily hit and in the burst of anger he used a slang. He was not aware that Warden was nearby him as warden was on the round for a disciplinary check in hostel. After noticing warden Zafar got afraid and ran from there to safeguard himself. Now it was Parvat’s test that how he could manage the warden and save his friend. Following was conversation between Warden and Parvat
Warden : - Kaun tha vo?
Parvat    : - Me nahin jaanta use Sir?
Warden : - Jhoot bolte ho tum.
Parvat    : - Sir me aapko kaise yakeen dilau aur yahan kitne saare students hai
aur use mile mujhe sirf do din hi hue hain to me uska naam nahin
                      jaanta sir.
Warden : - par vo tumhare saath khel raha tha
Parvat    : - Sir me to kitne jano ke saath khelta hu hostel me par me sabke naam
                      thodi jaan paunga.
Warden : - mere number likho aur jab vo tumhe mile to mujhe khabar karna
taaki me uspe disciplinary action lunga.
Parvat    : - Ok sir. Sure sir
Make a guess that after that what had happened after that?

I am sure most of you have got it right.

Parvat had to face Warden for few days but he always told to warden that he has not seen that boy(Zafar, as he diplomatically avoided taking Zafars name). After few days Warden realized that he will not be able to find who that boy was who used slang and Warden also stopped inquiring about Zafar and Warden also forgot that incidence.

This was a magnificent presence of mind shown by Parvat. Parvat showed a perfect example of being a very good manager as he managed to the warden and perfectly safeguarded his friend Zafar.

Note : A manager has to dynamic in all the situations
