LAW COMEDY(GENERAL OFFER AND SPECIFIC OFFER)

As we are in 2nd semester of MBA we are also studying law which many of the students find boring. In MBA many students also come from non-commerce backgrounds so these students find law very boring. Even some of the commerce students also find it very boring.
This is a humorous incidence about general and specific offer. It was a beautiful evening of 16th December, Friday when we were enjoying our weekend. I came from outside the campus and near my hostel I was with my friends for a while. As these days were winter days so I used to wear my thick jacket which I also called as Maharana Pratap ka Kawach(just in kidding tone). My jacket became the center of attraction for my friends. They started telling(in humorous tone) “is mote se jacket me pakka kuch hai. Pakka isme charas, ganja, afeem hoga ”. Though all of them know that I am a very modest person and I even can’t think of it, but it was a moment for them to create a humour. I kept few cases in my jacket which we were supposed to write on Monday or Tuesday as per the schedule. All my friends suddenly saw cases and then told me to give them the extra cases. I gave them extra cases which I had with me. Suddenly one friend told “ab dekhte jaao jacket me se bahut kuch niklega”.   Other friend asked me “aur kya kya rakha hai tune jacket me”. I was having a water bottle in my jacket. I also came in mood of masti. I told them that “ mere paas bottle hai (without specifying anything)”. They all expected that I must be having bottle of either beer, whisky, vodka or something. They were looking at my jacket with exclaimatory eyes. Then I opened my chain of jacket and then I took out Water Bottle from my jacket. Everyone got irritated at first and then all of them had a hearty laugh. One of my friend said “abbe bottle to aise keh raha hai jaise daaru ki bottle ho”. I immedietly told them “ it was a general offer and not specific offer because I told that I have bottle but I didn’t tell that which bottle did I have?”. This was the comedy with the concepts of law which we studied in our MBA classes which I thought of sharing with my viewers.

BENEFITS OF IMPLEMENTING METROS EXPERIENCE IN VILLAGES

Normally we have a perception that Whats there in village? We think that everyone of us should go outside the nation to earn big enough and then come to our home country and then take a house near a sea shore and live comfortably. Is that the only thing we should do being in our own nation? There are several benefits of implementing knowledge of cities in villages because with the help of this we can develop our nation as well as standard of living of villagers.
It’s an interesting story about a person who even after doing his masters from IIM KOLKATA has chosen to develop the villages.
Akshay Mehra is now a CEO of Village Laundry Services(VLS). Now we will draw a perception that after doing his masters from such a reputed college why he choose to be a CEO of village? That’s where a difference lies between the common persons and the persons who are different from the crowd. He is immensely delighted after becoming CEO of VLS. VLS is such laundry series which enables the customers to avail services at low rate. In its name village is signified because its main concentration is towards lower income group of the society. VLS started to provide its services to those towns/villages which come under a particular district in Bengaluru in Feburary 2009. Today it has it has 25 outlets across many towns/villages. Its main business is to provide services at normal places. These persons use refined quality of detergent, eco friendly front loading washing and drying machines and work to their utmost potential. Chamak Outlets(the way their branding has been done) gives you your cloths within 24 hours after washing, drying, ironing  and that too in 50 rupees per kg( in general if we see  concentration is totally on students, youth, middle class families and low income families.
This IIM KOLKATA graduate personality in his days of PROCTOR AND GAMBLE he took the experience of whole INDIA being Brand Manager Ariel and Tide detergents. In those days only an idea of business emerged in his mind that with the ultimate services differences between normal washerman and too much expensive branded laundry and dry cleaning shops can be removed. Then he thought of washerman market in India. In villages only its business has reached to 3000 crore.
In 2006 Sudesh Menon was supposed to take the charge of South East Asia as Best head, but he was already with Malaysian company. But he dint think it feasible to leave the earlier company because Anji Reddy, Chairman of well known pharmaceutical company DR REDDY LABORATORIES was very much excited that Mr Sudesh Menon should come to India and work to overcome the problem of Water Scarcity in the villages of the nation. Mr Menon joined Water Health International India as CEO. Then in Jan 2009 he started his own organization Water Life India and today it has more than 300 water purification units in 3 states. This can be a big business in this fast growing world. In our country we have 6 lakhs villages and more than 120000 government license aided hospitals and approximately 1lakhs schools and more than 65000 restaurants. In all these places they need water purification units and therefor we can draw a conclusion that its business can be approximately 18400 crore rupees.

MANAGING THE WARDEN AND SAFEGUARDING FRIEND

This is the incidence of some MBA college as told by my friend to me which I thought worth to tell to my viewers. This is also an example of managing the people and how to tackle a person to safeguard some other person.
There were two students Parvat and Zafar (names are changed in order to maintain confidentiality). Both were good friends. Both were playing table tennis in the weekend as they were very much fond of playing table tennis. Somehow Zafar missed a very easy shot which he thought he could have easily hit and in the burst of anger he used a slang. He was not aware that Warden was nearby him as warden was on the round for a disciplinary check in hostel. After noticing warden Zafar got afraid and ran from there to safeguard himself. Now it was Parvat’s test that how he could manage the warden and save his friend. Following was conversation between Warden and Parvat
Warden : - Kaun tha vo?
Parvat    : - Me nahin jaanta use Sir?
Warden : - Jhoot bolte ho tum.
Parvat    : - Sir me aapko kaise yakeen dilau aur yahan kitne saare students hai
aur use mile mujhe sirf do din hi hue hain to me uska naam nahin
                      jaanta sir.
Warden : - par vo tumhare saath khel raha tha
Parvat    : - Sir me to kitne jano ke saath khelta hu hostel me par me sabke naam
                      thodi jaan paunga.
Warden : - mere number likho aur jab vo tumhe mile to mujhe khabar karna
taaki me uspe disciplinary action lunga.
Parvat    : - Ok sir. Sure sir
Make a guess that after that what had happened after that?

I am sure most of you have got it right.

Parvat had to face Warden for few days but he always told to warden that he has not seen that boy(Zafar, as he diplomatically avoided taking Zafars name). After few days Warden realized that he will not be able to find who that boy was who used slang and Warden also stopped inquiring about Zafar and Warden also forgot that incidence.

This was a magnificent presence of mind shown by Parvat. Parvat showed a perfect example of being a very good manager as he managed to the warden and perfectly safeguarded his friend Zafar.

Note : A manager has to dynamic in all the situations

PRODUCT MUST BE DISPLAYED ON NETWORKING SITES TO INCREASE NETWORK MARKETING

Before going on to the core of the topic we must first of all understand what do we mean by network marketing?
Network Marketing in common parlance is a method of marketing that utilizes independent representatives to reach potential customers that a company otherwise would not reach with traditional online or offline marketing methods. In easy words we can say that network marketing is to make social networks and then make your product or service marketable either physically or through networking sites. It is about  one’s ability and skill to determine individuals within his/her circle of influence who would be interested in the products or services that company has in its kitty to offer.
Gone are those days when social networking was only possible by meeting people. In the fast technologically savvy world the marketing of the different products and  services is usually discussed or displayed on the social networking sites such as FACEBOOK, TWITTER, IBIBO, MY SPACE etc.  The most commonly used site for social networking is FACEBOOK which has kept the world connected in simpler and trouble-free manner. Thanks to Mark Zukerberg for  connecting the world like a village. Although there are couple of other sites but FACEBOOK clearly stands out.
Now coming to Network Marketing, these days if one visits  any networking sites such as FACEBOOK OR TWITTER then  we come across the status update put by people such as “hi yesterday I purchased _____ jeans. Its price is also at a very reasonable, its fitting is also upto the mark and its price is half in comparison to ________ brand.”
There are also instances where people update their status viz “Previous evening I and my girlfriend had a coffee at ________shop. All my viewers must go there. Believe me that the quality and services of that shop/restaurant is even better in comparison to five star hotels and if price is even less than one third of the price of five star hotel.”
As per the market analysis in our country at least 750000  people chat on facebook and their discussion revolves around the talks that “what did you eat yesterday, what purchases you made latest, what did you do yesterday, the product you purchased yesterday was good or bad”? CEO of LEVIS Mr John Anderson says that“there are around 150000 people associated with my LEVIS brand and they are fans and followers of this brand. In every 15 days they always tell their friends about this brand.”
The era, where  marketers used television to prepare their advertisements and after surveying the pattern of people watching tv , the advertisementwas displayed accordingly in different slots, seems to be a byzantine one. Now a days as social networking sites have taken the onus of  where they unveil new products and publicise their features. . The importance of advertising on television has reduced to a great extent.
In reality LEVIS brand has developed an online system where you can go to digital fitting room and select the appropriate thing and after pressing the buy button you can purchase it. This product will also be delivered to your home. Besides advertisements, manufacturers must also focus on these areas where how website users can the product as a point of discussion among themselves which will increase the network marketing to a great extent.

ALWAYS KEEP AN EYE ON THE LIFESTYLE OF CONSUMERS

This is not a nwe thing Brands are not only looked at the prespective of making profits but also they are sentimental towards the lifestyle of consumers. Although Lifestyle is such a kind of word which has always been in focus by marketeers but now a days a new engrossing with new style is taking its origin.

Lets take Recycling industry only. Recycling is not crime whenever due to it the main product is getting improved. For example if any person writes something on notepad and gives it to some other person, and when this notepad only is made up of recycled paper then its rate increases. You all must have noticed that all luminaries use notepads even if they write one or two sentences and then they give their signature. The person who takes it preserves it with hismself for whole life. This way that persons lifestyle is noticed who has done signature on it. Although it is costly but celebrities still like to follow this style only.

Now lets take an example of Wrist Watch industry. Any watch starting from local brand to Rolex works on same mechanism of showing time. It is for sure that dear watches dont show 1 minute faster not they are the TIME MACHINES. It is generally being seen that the person who wear this expensive watches is always afraid and wears it less number of times and is also afraid that the watch must not get stolen at any time but when he wears it his lifestyle gets reflected.

These are the examples which show us that how a person is keen to use brands in order to enhance his lifestyle.

Learning: If you want to increase your sales then always keep an eye on the lifestyle of the consumers which will fetch you a better sales. It is mandatory to keep yourself update in your regular life.

BE SMART FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR MONEY

In today's time we usually see that people are profligated towards wrist watch or jewelry products and are also inclined to pay the respected amount in installments. People wear rich watches which shows that time only which even a general watch shows, despite we are willing to pay the installments of six or twelve long months. If we look at the general point of view then we wear these branded or so called rich or plush watches for either impressing someone or we satisfy our ego.

Here one short incidence is presented which is prevelent also on the internet from past few months. This incidence will show us that how much we should be sagacious for the money which we possess with us.

This story is about a child who reaches to the barber's shop and barber then whispers in the ears of customer that "I have not seen a vacuous child than him. I am making him fool by making a same experiment with him but still he didn't learn anything from it. Look I will prove it right now".

The barber placed a 5 rupee coin in one hand and two coins of 1-1 ruppee in other hand and asked the child to select one hand. The child promptly selected that hand in which there were two coins of 1 rupee and then after taking it the child goes. Then the barber tells to the customer that how inane the child is who is everytime selecting 2 coins of 1 rupee each instead of 5 rupee coin. When the customer goes out then his attension gets driven by the child when he see him eating ice cream of 1 rupee from a ice cream vendor. He then promptly goes to him and asks that "why everytime you select two coins of 1 rupee  each and not 5 rupee coin"

The child then replies that "if I select 5 rupee coin then the game will be over and this way he will also not be able to prove that I am a foolish and this way I will also loose my 2 rupees sometimes I also get chances of earning those 2 coins of 1 rupees even 3-4 times a day coz I roam nearby to his shop".

This incidence shows us that how we have to be selective and perspicacious in terms of our money.

THINGS TO BE LEARNT FROM INDIAN CRICKET TEAM AFTER WORLD CUP 2011

As being Indians we all are delighted by the magnificient performance of our team which led it to win the world cup 2011 in its home ground. India also created a history of becoming first team to win the world cup in its home. The learnings which we can derive from Indian Cricket team which will be helpful to all of us to make our life better in all the prespects of life are:-

1) Don't be always dependent on The Best

The one who are the best cannot be at their best always. Everyone has to give his/her cent percent towards the team.

As per the context of Indian Cricket team, when the best batsmans Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag got out very soon then the youngsters Gautem Gambhir and Virat Kohli magnificently shouldered the responsibility of taking the team out of the claws of defeat.

2) Go and Turnaround

There is no other alternative other than self confidence and stubbornness to do something better for achieving the goal

In the tournament Captain M S Dhoni was not so very successful but at such a delicate moment he betook himself to the ground and played a valuable innings for the team to win the world cup.

3) Never say No

Pessimism leads to nothing. We have to ignore pessimisn so that with full energy we can positively get attached to our goal.

Yuvraj Singh was going through his bad form and before World cup he was on the verge of taking retirement but he conquered his pessimism and emerged as Man of the Series of WC 2011.

4) Always take risks

Without risks no one can achieve big goals in life. In order to cover long distance you have to jump long. The more you prepare to take risks the less will the distance between you and your destination.

In final match instead of R. Ashwin Shreesanth and Yusuf Pathan were given chances in the team. At third down when Dhoni betook himself to the ground inspite of Yuvraj seemed to be a dangerous move but proved to be a fruitful move for the team.

5) Make strategy for every act

Without proper strategy the further moves will be in the dark. It signifies that everytime a strategy is necessary. If conditions change then conditions should also change.

Like we see that West Indies is quite lacking in playing spin attack and at that time R Ashwin was the strike bowler against West Indies which made everyone shocked and when the middle order was in the ups and downs then he made Raina to bat instead of Pathan.

AGE NEVER MATTERS IN YOUR PASSION

Hi friends. Today I will be describing that does age really matter in your passion???
You may be having different perceptions but as far as facts are concerned age matters very little in your passion. Today in this blog I will be giving a brief about one cricketers\ who even after attaining high age was attached to his passion.
PERSON TO PLAY CRICKET TILL AGE OF 65
First of all I would like to describe about W G GRACE(WILLIAM GILBERT GRACE). He was an English first class cricketer and was also known as one of the greatest cricketers of his time. In the history of cricket he was regarded as FATHER OF CRICKET. He was veteran of Latest Cricket. His records give such impressions on which, you will get surprised because till now we consider SACHIN TENDULKAR has highest record maker in cricket. In first class cricket he holds a record of more than 100 Centuries with 55,000 runs and approximately 3000 wickets and more than 850 catches.

He was also regarded as The Doctor, The Old Man and The Champion. He played his last first class match at the age of 65 and despite he made 69 runs. He couldnt tolerate when he was declared out by the umpires. Besides he used to argue with the umpires that he was not out. Once upon a time he was playing a county match and after getting an edge on the bat the ball straight away went in the hands of wicket keeper and wicket keeper started appealing. After Wicket keepers appeal the umpire told to GRACE very politely "Sir if you consider that you are out then you can go to pavillion". On this Mr GRACE said "Neither I am out and nor I will consider that I am out and morever people come to watch my batting and not your umpiring"  in humourous tone. His level of popularity was such that the tickets of match used to get decided on whether GRACE was playing or not?.www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3KAfC7G2cU

To all my viewers I would like to say that age never matters in your passion and you can do anything at any age if you have a firm determination in your mind, heart and soul. In Indian context ANNA HAZARE serves as the best example who despite 74 years, is active determined and fighting against corruption

DEVELOP THE VILLAGES IN INTERNSHIP

In every year we see that students do internship. They join any company or office for one or two months, they read some files and do somethings here to there and then they get certificate related to their internship. Company uses them as FREE LABOURS and students also use their office in the way they like. In other words we can say that most of the internship done by the students dont prove to be beneficial for students.

In this case SIFE(STUDENTS IN FREE ENTERPRISE CHAPTER) has brought a new concept. SIFE is now working with in 45 countries and it uses students of colleges in maharashtra, gujarat. and keral for making electricity available in rural areas. SIFE internship has different versions right from marketing to sales. They selecct those villages whichare suffering from problem of electricity. Then students make the budget of their project on the basis of houses in villages and then with their marketing and sales skills they collect the fund for the project.

After receiving the money they indulge themselves in developing power generation for either physically or mentally challenged persons. Then these units are genuienly tested and then its security is taken by some responsible organization. Then in the last stage of project students go to village again and start developing power generation plants. In this manner this project is of 6 weeeks which is as eqvivalent to any internship in industry.

This program is open for students all over the India. In this manner internship will be helpful for students which can help them to percieve learning and it can also develop the nation.

THE WHOLE CLIMAX IS THAT EVERY STUDENT SHOULD DO SOME CHALLENGING WORK IN THE NAME OF INTERNSHIP INSTEAD OF JUST SPENDING 9 TO 5 IN OFFICE....
